Costs conferences

I had an enjoyable day at the Costs Law Reports Conference yesterday, kindly hosted by Eversheds in London.

The event always marks for me, both the start of autumn as I usually exhume my overcoat that week, and also the start of the conference season.

In the coming months, I shall be delivering papers at a number of conferences.

I have agreed to speak to the Law Society in Chancery Lane on matters of costs budgeting and costs management at their Commercial Litigation Conference on 15th October 2019. More details and bookings can be made here:

I am also speaking at an MBL Conference in London, the Costs Conference 2019 on 26th November 2019. More details and bookings can be made here:

If you read my blog and are coming along to either event, do pop by and say hello. Its always nice to meet people beyond the virtual world and in the real one.

In addition, I am contemplating holding a further costs conference in Manchester, towards the end of this year to look at 2019 in review with a number of my colleagues in chambers.

A key topic I will present a paper on is solicitor-own client costs disputes under the Solicitors Act 1974.

If there are any further topics that would be of particular interest to put forward at the Manchester event, I would be pleased to consider them and you can reach me on andrewhogan@ropewalk.co.uk
